Great town but Taxes are killing us - 2/21/2010
Patterson still has some of the small town charm and rural feel but the landscape has been slowly changed from a farming community to a bedroom community. We have some really nice open space parcels for hiking and outdoor pursuits. If you like fishing, this may be the place for you since there is water everywhere you turn. The biggest problem is the property taxes which are so high that a single income family is extremely rare. The school taxes are outrageous and it forces many people to leave the community that they grew up
